Capital Region Football is Launched!

December 26th, ’06:

New? Not really. Improved? Gad, I hope so…

I’d had my Renegades website since just before the team’s first training camp in 2002. It was easy to build, which was a requirement for me because I didn’t really know what I was doing.

But as I became eager to add more or improved features, the shortcomings of a Geocities site revealed themselves. They were even more apparent when I switched to Firefox! Already rather unappealing
to the eye, using Firefox made the site look like a Picasso painting!

So I’ve finally taken the plunge and upgraded a little bit. Now some of this I’ve mentioned before, but going forward the plan is to continue to cover the EFL, CIS and QJFL as before, but additionally includes…
-Creating a page about the Carleton Ravens’ history, and adding whatever more I can find about the Bootleggers.
-Expanding historical data on the older, still active teams like the Gee-Gees and Sooners.
-Restoring the sections on the circus that was the Renegades.
-Collecting any and all info on the Rough Riders that I can.

…and hopefully providing whatever coverage I can scrounge together of a new professional team in Ottawa, which I still believe will happen before long.

Hopefully you find CRF to your liking! Most sections are still being (re)built, so please bear with me.
